The need for work/life balance was the beginning for Tamara, a hair stylist raising two daughters as a single mother. It was very personal for Tamara to create a business that provides this balance within the hair profession. Thinking out of the box, considering, traditionally, hairstylist need to work on weekends and evenings to accommodate the average working person. Office Cuts® was created to bring a mobile salon to the work place during the weekday. Creating work/life balance for everyone!

Through research, we found that not only was it easy to obtain a mobile license, it was legal and supported in the state of Virginia, where Tamara, intended to launch her new business model. Living in an area where life is dictated by earning a living, traffic, busy schedules and family made it difficult to find time to get to the salon for a hair cut on time when needed.

On-Site businesses were becoming a popular way for companies to retain employees with no risk and no cost to the company. On-Site services keep the employee working and content to have their personal matters handled while on the job. This leaves weekends and evenings free to enjoy life.

Six short years later, Office Cuts® now has several companies that use this mobile hair service regularly. Other stylists are interested in their own Office Cuts® mobile hair business. And a patent pending on the “Salon in a Case” Tamara has created.
